I picked this up the other day. Some pretty sweet tunes on this cd. The band seems to have gotten away from the "every song sounds the same" mentality....check out info on the band on their website http://www.nickelback.com

Quantum of Solace....indeed...
Wow....is this my blog? Funny how things happen in your life and you totally forget about your blog that nobody visits. Anyhow, I'm currently in Fredericton marking provincial assessments. For a little break, I decided to head over to see Quantum of Solace this evening. Man, was I ever impressed. I was a little jaded in recent years with Pierce Brosnan's version of James Bond, being so impressed with the works of Sean Connery years earlier. However, Daniel Craig did an exceptional job with a fantastic supporting cast.
I won't give away the plot as I'm sure many haven't seen it (of course I could because like I said, who comes here anyway?! haha). I will see that it is an action packed 2 hours that will leave you on the edge of your seat as Bond trails enemies through parts of Europe and South America.
One thing I will say is I found it hilarious how Americans are portrayed in the movie. The Europeans and even the South Americans to some extent are portrayed as sophisticated individuals, while the Americans are portrayed as a bunch of slack-jawed yokels. Clearly, the George W. years haven't been kind to foreigners' perception of Americans.
Having said that, I highly recommend this movie. By highly....I mean HIGHLY so go see it!
...oh and by the way, Nickelback's new CD Dark Horse comes out tomorrow. I heard their new single "Gotta Be Somebody" on the radio on the way in to town. Needless to say, that is a purchase I will be making. Best price I've seen is at CD Plus....$7.99 C$.
